The Economic Impact of Business to Business E-Commerce and the Value Chain

Introduction

Evolutions are a way of life in the computer industry.Only a few years ago only a few people had access to computers.

Today more than 350 million people worldwide use the internet. More than a trillion million euros worth of business

is transacted over the internet each year. Although many people believe the internet has opened up a whole new world,

it just really has opened up a new door in the universe. Everyone needs a personal computer to connect to a server,

and you need a web browser to connect to the World Wide Web, companies set up web pages to allow customers to serve

themselves. Reducing costs of the company, but for companies online there is less customer interaction but on the

other hand there are higher quality orders and fewer problems with orders because there is no middleman.

On a communication level, the human human interaction is now replaced with human computer interaction

and the services of business is now open 24 hours a day. The level of competitors has increased bringing the

prices of goods down due to market transparency and competitors have created an even more dynamic world.

But what has been the social and economic impact from this new Digital era, including the world of Electronic Commerce

and Electronic Business. This is the question I have asked myself and will discuss throughout this paper.
